Kari is a Registered Dental Assistant with the State of Arkansas, and has been in Dentistry for over 28 years. Originally from southern California, Kari now lives in Historic Van Buren with her husband of 29 years, Stanley, who is a local firefighter and Fire Marshal with the City of Van Buren. The Clarks have two daughters, Jessica and Lauren. Jessica is a Dental Hygienist in Richmond, Virginia and Lauren is a graduate student at the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville.
Kari volunteers her time throughout the year to help assist with Dental Treatment Events at Fort Chaffee, caring for our nation’s servicemen and women. When time allows, Kari enjoys spending time on beautiful Lake Ouachita with her family and friends.
Eva started her career in the dental field as a volunteer for a pedodontist (children’s dentist) in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. When her husband retired from the military in 1975, they moved to Fort Smith and Eva went to work for Dr. John Wiederkehr and stayed on with Dr. Staton in 1992. After many years working chairside, Eva now works part-time in our business office.
Eva’s free time is spent working in her garden, biking, knitting and spending time with her two sons and their families. Also traveling yearly to Germany is high on her list of favorite things to do.
Sarah is a business coordinator/ dental assistant, certified with the Dental Assisting National Board and registered with the state of Arkansas. She began working with Dr. Staton over 21 years ago as a chair side assistant. In 2009, she transitioned to primarily a business coordinator.
Sarah is from Fort Smith and currently lives here. She has two sons Kody and Logan. Kody attends the U of A in Fayetteville. Logan is a competitive gymnast and attends Chaffin Junior High.
Carol is a Registered Dental Assistant with our practice and has over 33 years of dental experience in Fort Smith. She began assisting in a general dental practice and later transitioned into the specialty of Endodontics, where she worked for 17 years. In 2008, when the opportunity arose to move back into general dentistry, she joined our practice.
Carol and her husband, Pat, have one daughter, Rebecca, who is a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin. Becca plans to graduate in 2015 with her PhD in Mechanical Engineering before pursuing a career in oil and gas.
In their free time. Pat and Carol enjoy attending Fort Smith Little Theatre productions and spending time with close friends.
Brooke was born and raised in Fort Smith and currently lives in Van Buren with her husband. She graduated from the University of Arkansas- Fort Smith in 2011 with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. As a recent graduate, Brooke is beyond happy with her career choice as a dental hygienist and is knowledgeable in recent dental advances. In her time away from work, she loves cooking, baking, going to the lake in the summer, and just about any kind of shopping. She loves spending time outdoors with her family and her two dogs. Brooke joined our office in 2012 and has enjoyed getting to know our patients over the past year. She feels lucky to be a part of a team that has such a high standard of care for our patients. Brooke looks forward to growing professionally with our office in the years to come.
Jan received her degree in dental hygiene from UAMS in Little Rock in 1977. With Fort Smith being home, she chose to practice here after graduation. She joined Dr. Staton’s practice in 1992. Jan and her husband, David, moved to Greenwood in 1984 where they raised their two daughters, Lacy and Mallory. Lacy received her doctorate from the college of Pharmacy at UAMS in Little Rock and now lives and works in Denver, Colorado. Mallory attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas and currently works for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas as an events manager.
Jan and David love all things Razorback and enjoy attending as many football, basketball, and baseball games as possible. They also share a love of trout fishing and spend time on the White River below Bull Shoals Lake every chance that they get.
